InteropNet Classroom Sessions to Take Place on May 8th and 10th
Cormant Inc., a software development company specializing in IT infrastructure management solutions for the data center (DCIM) and beyond, today announced participation in two classroom speaking sessions at Interop Las Vegas, happening May 6-10 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, as part of their InteropNet sponsorship and participation.
“Cormant’s CableSolve infrastructure management solution is a valuable part of the InteropNet this year,” said Glenn Evans, Lead Network Architect, InteropNet. “In addition to providing their expertise and support in the InteropNet at Interop Las Vegas, Cormant will present two sessions in the InteropNet classroom which will benefit all those looking to learn more about effective ways to manage their data centers by leveraging real-world examples.”
The first session, titled “DCIM and how it helps deliver the InteropNet,” is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 8th at 11:15 a.m. in the InteropNet classroom (Booth #450). This session will be led by Paul Goodison, CEO of Cormant and explore the DCIM hype, sifting through the various meanings of DCIM, exploring what to consider when planning efficient management of an enterprise IT infrastructure and how InteropNet takes advantage of DCIM principles to deliver effective use at Interop… for example, the ability to design racks before building them, thereby confirming power, RU and port capacity, making installing equipment in the racks quick and error free.
The second session, “Deploying and Managing a Mobile, Paperless Infrastructure” will take place on Thursday, May 10th at 10:15 a.m. in the InteropNet classroom (Booth #450). This session, led by Brad Beamish, Director of Information Systems at Com-Net, Cormant’s North American distributor and Ed Gastle, Product Line Manager at JDSU, will discuss InteropNet’s deployment process of the live physical network to over 300,000 square feet in just five days, with a focus on the tests, mobile and paperless documentation strategies, and the tools used to monitor and certify the implementation.
“As this is our third consecutive InteropNet participation, we are always excited to see how the process evolves from event to event, as well as have the opportunity to share our views on the DCIM space and how valuable the technology can be to a large-scale project such as the InteropNet,” said Cormant CEO Paul Goodison.
