Cormant Offers Full Gamut of DCIM Knowledge at Data Center World, Las Vegas

Cormant-CS DCIM Alerts

Cormant set to lead two data center infrastructure management speaking sessions, hold live, in-booth demos of its latest alerting functionality in Cormant-CS 8, and provide a chance for attendees to win a $500 giftcard.

San Luis Obispo, Calif., USA – (April 16, 2015) – Cormant, Inc., a global data center infrastructure management (DCIM) pure-play expert, today announced its selection as a DCIM thought leader at AFCOM’s Data Center World in Las Vegas, April 19 – 23, 2015. Cormant will present in two DCIM sessions, both on Monday, April 20th alongside live demonstrations of its latest release, Cormant-CS 8 in booth #1023.

Cormant CEO, Paul Goodison, was selected to organize and moderate a key, 2-hour panel on DCIM. The panel compiles two DCIM end-users, one DCIM consultant, and two DCIM vendors to provide attendees with an assortment of viewpoints. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to claim a seat for this popular session since last year’s panel was filled to capacity.

“I’m honored to have been selected to orchestrate this DCIM panel,” Paul stated. “DCIM is a broad term encompassing many aspects of data center management. It’s good for end-users to hear diverse views on what DCIM is or how it is used in various organizations so they can formulate how it best aligns with their organization’s goals.”

Following the DCIM panel, Cormant’s Senior Technical Consultant, Stuart Hallin, will guide attendees through the DCIM selection and implementation processes during a one-hour, vendor-neutral DCIM session. Stuart possesses expert knowledge in the field, having performed a significant number of large-scale DCIM implementations across the last four years, drawing on his 10+ years of IT experience.

In the days following the DCIM sessions, attendees are encouraged to visit Cormant’s booth #1023 for live, personalized demonstrations incorporating the public’s first opportunity to view and test-drive alerts functionality in the soon-to-be-released Cormant-CS 8.

“Alerts provide users the ability to take proactive steps towards risk management,” said Matt Morrissey, Cormant’s Senior Developer. “Think of it as a smoke detector for space, temperature, or any other numeric data in your data center. It is configurable and can be delivered in a number of formats depending on the user’s preference.”

The Cormant booth will also hold a drawing for a $500 giftcard on the final day of the expo. Attendees should visit both the Cormant and Corning booths to qualify.

  • Live demonstrations in booth #1023 with the first-ever public demonstrations of alerts in Cormant-CS 8.
  • $500 giftcard giveaway in the Cormant booth on April 22nd, in coordination with Corning.
